Akinwunmi Ojo-Carons, MD

Dr. Akinwunmi Ojo-Carons is a board-certified, highly skilled, and experienced urologist and surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional care to both male and female patients from diverse backgrounds. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002 and earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2008. Dr. Ojo-Carons went on to complete his residency in Surgery/Urology at Northshore-LIJ Medical Center, Hofstra University in 2015.
With his specialized training and expertise, Dr. Ojo-Carons addresses a range of urinary tract conditions and disorders, including voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder. He also completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Metro Urology in Minnesota under the tutelage of Dr. Steven Siegel in 2016. He has honed his expertise in diagnosing and managing complex pelvic floor disorders for both men and women.
As an active member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction, the Endourological Society, the Société Internationale d’Urologie, and the American Medical Association, Dr. Ojo-Carons stays up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in his field. He has significantly contributed to advancing urology through his research work, including papers published in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at professional meetings.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Ojo-Carons is passionate about global health medicine and has pursued additional training in this area. He completed multiple Global Health trips and initiatives in the Department of Urology at Justinien Hospital in Haiti in 2014, where he gained invaluable experience providing care in a resource-limited setting. Dr. Ojo-Carons frequently travels back to his home country of Nigeria to open up more avenues to serve the international community.

With an impressive background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Registered Nurse (RN) certification, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Pamela is a powerhouse in her field. Her education and experience have enabled her to make a significant impact on patients’ lives while also understanding the complexities of healthcare management.
Outside of her professional life, Pamela is an avid reader, constantly expanding her knowledge and staying up to date with the latest trends in healthcare and personal development. She also maintains a healthy balance in her life through her love for kickboxing, a physically demanding and empowering sport that keeps her in top shape mentally and physically.
Pamela’s passion for music is undeniable, and she particularly enjoys Afrobeats, a genre that allows her to express herself through rhythm and movement. As a proud South Carolinian, Pamela enthusiastically supports her favorite sports team, the Carolina Panthers, and never misses a chance to cheer them on during the NFL season.
One aspect of life that Pamela is particularly passionate about is sexual health, which is why she loves Climax. Debbie Palley
Nurse Practitioner
Debbie is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience in the nursing field. She spent the first sixteen years of her nursing career caring for patients in the hospital setting. In 2009, she returned to school, graduating in 2011 from Old Dominion University with her Master’s Degree in Nursing, and was credentialed as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She continued her nursing career as a primary care provider in various clinical settings.
She became interested in aesthetic medicine in 2018 and trained in administering Botox and dermal fillers. Debbie partners with those in her care to fully understand their desires, concerns, and expectations. She incorporates these elements in forming a plan of treatment to optimize desired results. Her priority is patient safety and comfort, and she is gentle in her approach and techniques.
Debbie is a 20-year resident of Virginia Beach, VA. She spent her childhood as a “Navy brat,” living mostly on the Eastern Seaboard. She is a mother of 2 adult children and a grandmother. She found her passion at the age of 50, learning to horseback ride, then purchasing her own horse, named Max. She and Max enjoy many adventures camping with friends and trail riding.
LaSontra Anderson
Practice Manager and Licensed Practical Nurse
LaSontra Anderson is a passionate Licensed Practical Nurse of 7 years. She is a native of New Orleans, LA. LaSontra is the wife of a retired United States Navy veteran of over 26 years, and mother of 3 beautiful girls. Becoming a mother was the jumpstart of her passion towards becoming a nurse. LaSontra believes that building a rapport is not only with the patient and provider, but with the nurse as well. As your nurse, she is the first line of defense for the provider. She enjoys her one-on-one patient interaction and getting you involved in self-care. LaSontra enjoys spending time with family, traveling, shopping and watching football (WhoDat). She is very excited to be at Climax and guide you through your experience with us!
Rosette Garrote
Executive Assistant and Front Desk Manager
Rozz is a licensed pharmacist with a passion for helping others. After graduating from Centro Escolar University Manila, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Rozz went on to pass the Pharmacist Licensure Examination with flying colors.
Outside of work, Rozz enjoys reading, listening to music, cooking/baking, and watching documentaries. She is also a fan of Crime Scene Investigation shows—everyone knows how Rozz gets thrilled beyond words in solving complex mysteries and in understanding the human mind.
In their work, Rozz ensures to bring her inquisitive nature to discover what the best solution is available to their patients—and in essence, to bring the highest quality care possible to them. After all, Rozz believes that building positive relationships with patients is essential to understanding their needs and providing them with the best possible service.
While it is true that Rozz makes sure to tackle work one day at a time, she remains hopeful and ingeniously curious on what the future will hold for her and what fun, new things she will learn at work.
