Growth factors are present in our own blood; these cells are responsible for regeneration and healing of tissue. To extract these growth factors, during a PRP procedure, a sample of a patient’s blood is taken and then using our advanced PRP centrifuge system to extract these rejuvenating cells known as Platelet Rich Plasma. Once the platelet rich plasma is separated from the other components contained in blood, the platelets are activated, releasing growth factors. This serum can then injected into the tissue being treated with very tiny needles, such as those used during microneedling.
When injected into tissue, the platelets release a number of growth factors that stimulate stem cell production at site of injection. Areas for injection can include, but are not limited to, the face, neck, and scalp.
Improvement in tissue/skin elasticity, strength, appearance and hair regeneration also can also occur with PRP treatment (according to area of injection). Depending on the area, results of treatment can be appreciated in as early as 2 weeks. Repeat procedures are generally recommended every 3-6 months.
Specific post-injection protocols are recommended for optimal results.
